LAST WEEK’S RECAP | June 25 – July 1, 2012

WEEKEND PARTIES
Last-minute decision, I joined several tennis players for wedding in Canada, that of a player from Parsippany. Gone Friday and back Sunday. It was one of the best weddings, road trips and long weekends! I’d write about it but told everyone at the wedding – “What happens in Toronto, stays in Toronto.”

FRIDAY
With or without me, Friday regulars and non-regulars were going to have fun no matter what. And that, they did. I can’t wait to hear more details from the rest of the crew.

SATURDAY
Players from NYC, Cliffside Park, Englewood Cliffs, Fort Lee, River Edge and Secaucus attended.

Besides trying to kill my boyfriend, the player from Cliffside Park, had what they call “good aim in shooting billiards.” That’s when one ball hits 2 balls. I can’t explain further or I’d be in hot water.

Everyone had their own fun. Wish I could have been there.

SUNDAY
Players from NYC, Clifton, Edgewater, Jersey City, Ridgewood, Teaneck and Wayne attended.

A player from NYC had such a great time on Thursday that he decided to try out the clay courts with his friend from Jersey City.

With Dwight at the helm, matches proceeded without interruptions or last-second replacements. When he yelled “TIME,” they finished their points and proceeded to take their breaks, while preparing for the next match.

A regular from Jersey City said “Wow no stress. Where is Penny?”

In my defense, I gotta say that many people say they like the way I run the parties, based on my attention to details and concern for everyone one’s good times. This weekend they are just liking a different style of coordination. They’d better be ready for me again because I AM BACK! 🙂

Dwight wanted me to mention that there was the battle of the sexes and the men prevailed. It’s a good thing because people didn’t want to see the men running around in skirts. According to their bet – if the men lost, they had to wear skirts.

Dwight being the usual clown said as lightening was coming down – “Who wants to hold my lightening rod.” Everyone laughed. Seconds later, Dwight said – “Hmm that didn’t come out to good.” I’m not even sure why it was so funny.

It was fun here back at home, as well as in Toronto!!
